SinBot User Guide

SinBot gives members Discord roles based on the NFTs they hold on Robinhood Chain, and can run private support tickets with a server's staff and giveaways.

SinBot will never ask for your seed phrase, your private key, a signature or a payment. You never connect your wallet to SinBot. Anyone asking for these is not SinBot — never share them.

1. For members: verifying your wallet

You prove you own a wallet by putting a short code in your OpenSea profile bio. Nothing is signed and nothing is sent.

  1. In the server's verify channel, press Verify and enter your wallet address (it starts with 0x).
  2. SinBot shows a code like SIN-1A2B3C4D. It is valid for 30 minutes.
  3. Go to opensea.io (type the address yourself — never use links from other people), log in with that wallet, edit your profile, paste the code into your Bio and save.
  4. Back in Discord, wait for the 90-second countdown, then press I've updated my profile.
  5. If SinBot cannot find the code yet, wait for the 30-second timer and try again.

When it works, your wallet is linked and your roles are given straight away. You can delete the code from your bio afterwards.

2. For members: your wallets and roles

3. For members: support tickets

If the server uses tickets, press Open ticket in its support channel, enter a topic and describe your problem. SinBot creates a private channel that only you and the server's staff can see.

4. For members: giveaways

If the server runs giveaways, press the button under the giveaway post (usually 🎉) to enter.

5. For admins: adding SinBot and getting started

  1. Add SinBot to your server with the invite link: get in touch with us. SinBot asks only for: Manage Roles, Manage Channels, View Channels, Send Messages, Read Message History, Embed Links and Attach Files. It never needs Administrator.
  2. In Server Settings > Roles, drag SinBot's role above every role it should give out. Discord only lets a bot give roles below its own.
  3. Run /activate and paste your licence key, e.g. /activate key:SIN-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX. You only do this once.
  4. Run /setup and work through the checklist (section 6).
  5. Tell your members to press Verify.

If you added SinBot before support tickets existed, turn on Manage Channels for SinBot's role in Server Settings > Roles.

6. For admins: the setup checklist (/setup)

/setup shows what is done and what is left:

  1. Licence — active, or how long is left.
  2. Log channel (recommended) — where SinBot reports role changes and problems. Only admins should see it.
  3. Rules — at least one rule (section 7).
  4. Verify button — the panel members use (Verify, Refresh roles, My wallets).
  5. Health check — confirms everything works.

Buttons on the checklist:

You can reopen /setup at any time.

7. For admins: roles and rules (/roles)

/roles is the one place for everything about holder roles. The home screen shows how many roles SinBot uses (each server can use up to 150 roles in its rules and ladders), your rules and ladders, and the collections you use.

Role managers (optional): in /setup, press Role managers (optional) and pick roles whose members may use /roles without being administrators, for example your moderators. They can create and remove rules and ladders, but cannot use /setup or /activate. Every change is reported in your log channel with who made it. One extra step in Discord: open Server Settings > Integrations > SinBot, choose /roles, press Add Roles or Members and allow the same role(s), because Discord shows /roles only to administrators until you do.

The builder first asks What should members need?

Tips:

8. For admins: role ladders

A ladder is an ordered list of roles, top first. On each ladder, a member keeps only the highest role they qualify for, and SinBot removes the lower ones — even ones given by hand.

9. For admins: support tickets

Optional, included with your licence. In /setup, press Support tickets and choose:

  1. Your staff roles — they (and server admins) see every ticket.
  2. A category for ticket channels — SinBot needs View Channel, Manage Channels and Send Messages there. A Discord category holds at most 50 channels.
  3. The channel for the Open ticket button.

When a ticket opens, only the staff roles are pinged. Opening and closing are reported in your log channel. Ticket channels are named like ticket-0042-username.

10. For admins and hosts: giveaways (/giveaways)

Optional, included in every plan.

Setting up (admins): in /setup, press Giveaways (optional):

  1. Switch giveaways on.
  2. Choose a private results channel, one only staff can see. When a giveaway ends, SinBot posts the winners there with their wallets and a spreadsheet file (CSV) you can open in Excel or Google Sheets. SinBot needs View Channel, Send Messages and Attach Files there, and warns you if everyone can see it.
  3. Optional: choose giveaway host roles, whose members may run giveaways without being administrators. Also open Server Settings > Integrations > SinBot, choose /giveaways, press Add Roles or Members and allow the same role(s), because Discord shows /giveaways only to administrators until you do.

Creating a giveaway: run /giveaways and press Create a giveaway.

When it ends: winners are drawn at random, weighted by entries, top prize first, one prize per person. Each winner is checked to be still in the server and still allowed to enter; if not, the next person drawn takes their place. If there are fewer entrants than prizes, everyone wins once and the leftover prizes are reported as not awarded. Winners are tagged in the giveaway channel (about 80 per message), and only winners are pinged.

Afterwards, in /giveaways: open a giveaway to edit it (title, description, prizes, end time), end it now and draw, cancel it, re-roll a winner (for example someone who cannot claim: a new winner is drawn for the same prize from people who have not won), or see the winners and download the winners file. Finished giveaways stay in the /giveaways list for 30 days, until their entries are deleted; the results channel keeps the results messages for as long as you keep them. Each server can have up to 10 scheduled or running giveaways at once. Creating, editing, ending, cancelling and re-rolling are reported in your log channel.

If giveaways are switched off, or the licence has run out, running giveaways pause: nobody can enter and nothing is drawn until they are back on.

12. Your data

In short: SinBot stores your Discord user ID and the wallet addresses you link, never your seed phrase, email or messages. Wallet links are deleted when you unlink them, or 30 days after you are no longer in any server that uses SinBot. A server's rules and settings are deleted 30 days after SinBot is removed. Unfinished verifications are deleted a day after the code expires, ticket records 90 days after the ticket closed, and giveaway entries (with the wallets entered) 30 days after the giveaway ended. Full details: coming soon.

13. Commands
